Wuzhong-Sucheng Industrial Park, or WSIP, was established in April 2007 under the decision taken by governments of Wuzhong District and Sucheng District and jointly constructed by the economic development zones of the two districts. Located in Sucheng Economic Development Zone and with distinctive regional features, WSIP is an "industrial park in an economic development zone". In September 2008, it was approved as a South-North co-development zone of Jiangsu Province. The total planning area of the park is 6.96 square kilometers.

Party Affairs Committee, Administrative Committee and an investment company were set up in WSIP. The four administrative branches of WSIP undertakes the work of planning, construction, investment attraction and management of the park. WSIP has successfully passed the provincial annual assessment in consecutive years, and the rank has moved upward for seven years in a row since 2012. In 2018 and 2019, the park ranked sixth in the province.

Following the guideline of "overall layout, one-time planning, step-to-step implement, initiating fast", The administrative committee of WSIP is responsible for the planning, construction, business attraction and development. In 2007, the construction of seven 30,000-square-meter standardized plants were started in the south of the park. The park has more than 100,000 square meters of self-built plants. Wu Zhong Su Cheng Industrial Park developed and constructed 28,000 square meters of new factory buildings adjacent to the original factory buildings in the western area in 2021, covering an area of more than 40 acres. The main building of the factory was completed at the end of 2021 and is now fully operational.

Facing economic new normal and requirements of industry agglomeration, WSIP will fully exploit the advantage of South-North co-development. The park aims to build a characteristic industrial park based on cooperation and win-win principle. WSIP will continue to play an influential, driving and model role by building the park into an exemplary high-quality industry agglomeration and co-development industrial park and make further contribution to the structure transformation, green and innovative development of Sucheng district.
